Dom Casillas and his best friend Jase took part in a new Poultry Show in Idaho this April, and their performance was outstanding. What stands out most about these two young men is their unwavering support for each other. For them, every victory is shared—when one wins, the other celebrates just as wholeheartedly. Their sportsmanship is truly remarkable; there’s never a trace of jealousy, despite the many chances for competition. Whether in the show ring or beyond, their excitement for each other's success is genuine.
Today, Dom was honored by the American Poultry Association for his accomplishments in the April show. During the event, the boys competed in two divisions: the Junior Division, where they faced peers their own age, and the Open Class, where they went up against seasoned breeders and adult competitors. With over 586 birds in contention, Dom achieved incredible results:
Junior Champion
American Champion
Large Fowl Champion
Backyard Beauties 1st
Backyard Beauties 2nd
Best in Show—an extraordinary honor, rarely awarded to a Junior participant, meaning his bird was deemed the very best among the entire show.
Today, Dom received further recognition from the APA:
Show Champion at State Meet
His journey has been shaped by dedication and countless hours spent working with his birds. From a strong foundation of genetics, he hatched and raised chicks, meticulously grooming and conditioning them into champions. His passion and hard work have truly paid off.
We couldn't be prouder of him! What began as a simple deal back in third grade has blossomed into something far greater—a passion, a talent, and an achievement that lets him shine. Now, all he needs is more wall space for his growing collection of accolades!
